2010 Christian Stewardship If not you, who?
If not now, when?
The Orthodox Christian Stewardship Program allows our Parish to meet
the financial needs of its annual Ministries and Operating Budget. Consequently, our parishioners are Stewards of The Greek
Orthodox Parish of Loudoun County, rather than dues payers, and they accept direct responsibility for the financial support
and progress of our Church and its mission. Your free will Orthodox Christian Stewardship commitment is a vital part
of advancing the work of Christ and our Orthodox Faith in our Parish and our Church at large. As we consider
God’s blessings, Orthodox Christian Stewardship reminds us that the gifts God has bestowed upon us are not our own;
that we have a trusteeship over them and not an ownership. Stewardship is acknowledging that God is the source of each
gift that has been received and each possession that has been accumulated. Stewardship means to give a portion back
to God, as a direct way of expressing our thanksgiving to Him for these gifts.
We ask that you
prayerfully consider your 2009 Orthodox Christian Stewardship Commitment, commensurate with your resources and your gratitude
for the bounties and blessings our Lord has bestowed on you. The financial level at which you arrive should be a spiritual
expression of gratitude and love to God for all you have received.
You may turn in your
Commitment Card in the offering tray. Alternatively, you may return your Commitment Card by mail or hand it to
the Stewardship Chairperson or the Parish Council Treasurer.
We offer you our personal
gratitude, beforehand, for your generosity and partnership in Christ’s work of salvation.
May God bless you all, and may God continue to bless our Parish.
